Cancellation and refunds

Last updated 12 September 2026

Cancel yourself, any time, in about four clicks. Here is exactly what happens when you do.

How to cancel

Go to Settings, then Billing, then Manage billing. That opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can cancel the subscription or change the card on file. No email, no phone call, no notice period.

If you cannot get into your account for any reason, write to joshkbutcher@gmail.com and we will cancel it for you.

What happens when you cancel

  • Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you cancel a monthly plan on the 3rd, it runs to the end of that month.
  • After that the account drops to the free plan rather than closing. Your bookings, customers and cut sheets stay where they are, and your public booking page keeps working within the free plan limits.
  • Text notifications stop, because they are a paid feature. Bookings still arrive; you just will not be texting customers about them.

Refunds

Part used periods are not refunded. Cancelling partway through a month or a year ends the renewal, it does not refund the remainder, and the plan stays usable until the period ends.

That said, we would rather sort something out than argue about it. We refund when:

  • You were charged by mistake. A duplicate charge, a renewal after you cancelled, a plan you did not choose. Tell us and we refund it in full.
  • You paid for a year and something is genuinely wrong. Within 30 days of an annual charge, if the software is not doing what we said it does, we refund the year.
  • We broke it. If an outage or a fault on our side made the service unusable for a meaningful stretch, get in touch and we will credit or refund that time.

Refunds go back to the card that was charged, through Stripe, and usually take five to ten business days to appear.

The free plan

The free plan needs no card and costs nothing, so there is nothing to cancel or refund. Stop using it whenever you like, or ask us to close the account and delete the data.

Getting your data out

Before you go, ask and we will get you a copy of your bookings and customers. We keep everything for 90 days after an account closes and then delete it, so there is time to change your mind.

Price changes

If we change the price of a plan you are on, we give at least 30 days notice by email first, and you can cancel before it takes effect. We do not raise the price of an annual term you have already paid for.

Questions

This policy sits alongside the terms of service. If something here is unclear, ask before you buy rather than after, and we will give you a straight answer. See the contact page.
